Cracks is a collaborative project of four artists processing site-specific and place-responsive proposals for the program of Macau City Fringe festival 2018 in three different locations in Macau. Contextual and situational process generated several proposals, and the group performed individual and collective proposals within the festival week. In terms of urban dynamics, the sites were different from each other: the local busy market street Rua do Rebanho, the touristic site of the ruins of St. Paul, and the calm public Sir Robert Ho Tung library. The shared process explored the contextual and situational relations of the body, place, public space, choreography, and performance.

Cracks on neljän taiteilijan yhteistyö ja prosessi, jossa taiteilijat työstivät koreografiset teokset kolmeen eri paikkaan Macau City Fringe -festivaalin ohjelmistoon. Kontekstuaalinen ja tilannekeskeinen prosessi tuotti monta eri ehdotusta, ja ryhmä esitti festivaaliviikon aikana sekä yksittäisiä että kollektiivisia töitä. Urbaania dynamiikkaa ajatellen töiden paikat olivat toisistaan hyvin erilaisia. Esityspaikkoina toimivat ruuhkainen Rua do Rebanho torikatu, turistien valtaamat Pyhän Paavalin kirkon rauniot, ja rauhallinen Sir Robert Ho Tung kirjasto. Yhteisessä prosessissa ja töissä pohdimme ruumiin, paikan, julkisen tilan, koreografian ja esityksen välisiä suhteita.
