Time is Out of Joint, charped is a choreographic solo-performance work for visual artist Sari Palosaari’s exhibition Time is Out of Joint in Gallery Sculptor, Helsinki.

Sari invited me to create a performative part for the exhibition in dialogue with her. This work continues our collaboration, which started in 2015 during my doctoral artistic research process. In this work I visit the exhibition with my practice, which in my doctorate I have named as Choreography as reading practice (Charp). During the opening days of the exhibition, I make eight performative two-hour visits to Sari’s work by examining the choreographic relations between materiality and corporeality.

Time is Out of Joint, charped on koreografinen sooloesitys kuvataiteilija Sari Palosaaren näyttelyyn Time is Out of Joint Gallery Sculptorissa Helsingissä. Työstäessään näyttelyään, Sari kutsui minut mukaan toteuttamaan esityksellisen osan osaksi näyttelykokonaisuutta. Työ jatkaa vuonna 2015 alkanutta yhteistyötämme. Näyttelyn aukioloaikana vierailen galleriassa kahdeksan kertaa asuttaen ruumiillisuuden ja materiaalisuuden välisiä koreografisia suhteita kahden tunnin ajan.
