Embodying AI: Advancing Art&AI Interactions for Future-Ready Performing Arts (2026-2030)
Art and artist education are at a crucial point in time where the new phase of AI -technology is fundamentally altering how culture and art is created, shared, and experienced. This fusion of culture and technology is redefining how we create art, connect, and share the outcomes with audiences, and it forces artists and educators in art-academies to push the limits of making art and re-think pedagogical methodologies in artist education. This research project focuses on the impact of the AI and the AI premises to the artistic and creative skills, thinking, practice and ecology in the framework of performing arts. The project supports developing future-ready artists and art-educational ecologies through examining the AI in the embodied practices as an ontological relational premise. The project aims to conceptualize new artistic perceptual-experiential skills that AI-literacy and AI-creativity require how to approach unfamiliar systems and how to advance towards complex new problems.
Taide ja taiteilijakoulutus ovat murroskohdassa, jossa uusi tekoälyteknologia muuttaa sitä, miten kulttuuria ja taidetta luodaan, jaetaan ja koetaan. Kulttuurin ja teknologian yhteenkietoutuminen määrittelee uudelleen tapaa tehdä taidetta, olla yhteydessä ja jakaa tuloksia yleisön kanssa. Se haastaa taiteilijat ja taidekoulutuksen venyttämään taiteen tekemisen rajoja sekä pohtimaan taiteilijakoulutuksen menetelmiä. Hanke keskittyy tekoälyn vaikutukseen taiteellisiin ja luoviin taitoihin, ajatteluun, käytäntöihin ja ekologioihin esittävän taiteen viitekehyksessä tarkastelemalla tekoälyä kehollisten käytäntöjen ontologisena ja relationaalisena lähtökohtana. Hankkeen tavoitteena on luoda uusia havainto- ja kokemusperäisiä taitoja, joita tekoälyn lukutaito ja tekoälyyn liittyvä luovuus edellyttävät, ja joita tarvitaan tuntemattomien järjestelmien kohtaamisessa ja etenemisessä kohti uusia monimutkaisia ongelmia.
